Exhibition | ROSS GASH
Description
Ross Gash is an Australian painter who has spent almost forty years mainly based in Paris. Recently, he chose to settle in the Lot, near Montcuq, where he has set up his studio in the old school in the village of Saint-Laurent-Lolmie.
Throughout his career, his work has drawn heavily on urban themes, exploring sensory interpretations of city life and urban experiences, as well as imaginary representations of maps and urban landscapes.
Since moving to a rural setting, he has become interested in the details and dynamics of the natural world, which he sees as having similarities to the organised and complex disorder of urban polyphony.
