Rendez-vous du Samedi | The floods of March 1930

Description

In the company of historian François Boulet, discover or rediscover the story of one of the most traumatic events in the history of contemporary Moissagaise.
The flooding of the Tarn on 3 and 4 March 1930 has left its mark on all of Moissagges contemporary history. It was 95 years ago that more than 120 people were found dead under the rubble of a town that was three-quarters destroyed. François Boulet takes up this story to analyse the causes, the unfolding of those terrible hours, and the issues of rescue, solidarity and reconstruction. This historical investigation, based on the work of historians and archive documents, will enable us to learn more about this disaster.
