A visit to better understand what remains of the abbey’s aqueduct and take stock of recent research.

The medieval remains of the cloister fountain aqueduct were uncovered by Armand VIRE in the 1930s. New research conducted by archaeologist Angélique VAN DE LUITGAARDEN has provided a better understanding of how it worked and allowed exploration of the abbey’s underground passages.

WARNING! Ladders and difficult passages. Good physical condition required, hiking shoes or boots necessary, not recommended for claustrophobes! Minimum age 10 years.
