“Compostela, France, and Spain in the Middle Ages”
Adeline Rucquoi, emeritus research director at the CNRS, is a specialist in the medieval history of the Iberian Peninsula and the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. Her lecture will highlight the role of the routes to Compostela in building historical, cultural, and spiritual relations between France and Spain, from their medieval origins to their contemporary legacies.

EXHIBITION
“In the footsteps of the pilgrims of Santiago de Compostela in Occitania”
This exhibition, consisting of 20 panels created by the Occitanie Inventory Service, recounts the pilgrimage through significant heritage sites in our region. Abbeys, chapels, and modest objects are all testimonies to the devotion to Saint James, but also to the many links and exchanges with Spain.
