This 9km circuit, located in the Tarn and Garonne valleys, offers a pleasant experience accessible to all, with a flat, well-marked route. Starting out from the Saint-Nicolas-de-la-Grave leisure centre, you'll be immersed in a landscape that alternates between poplar forests and wide stretches of water. The route is punctuated by an exceptional ecological wealth, particularly around the bird sanctuary. An easy walk lasting around 2 hours 15 minutes, combining discovery and relaxation.
The highlight of this walk is without doubt thebird observatory.
Around 2 km from the start of the walk, you'll be able to admire a variety of fauna thanks to the volunteers on hand, who will be more than happy to help you discover the multitude of species present. The site, which overlooks a small island, is a haven for migratory and sedentary birds. Watch out for great egrets, white spoonbills and kingfishers. Along the way, other sights await you, including the towers of Richard the Lionheart's castle, visible from the road leading to the village.
