At Lafitte, every step you take brings you closer to unspoilt nature and a heritage steeped in history.
This village, where water dances with stone, between dovecotes and vast meadows where horses graze, is an invitation to contemplation and serenity.
Crossed by streams and rivers, this little corner of Tarn-et-Garonne celebrates its intimate link with water through its street and path names: "Rue du Puits Perdu", "Chemin de la Rivière" and "Chemin de la Fontaine" are all poetic nods to this heritage.
As you stroll along, be surprised by the fresco and sculpture by Jean-Jacques Kugel, a tribute to the Cascade de la Gimone.
Just a stone's throw from the heart of the village, discover the small Cascade de la Gimone, next to the Moulin de Sapiac. This brick mill operated until the middle of the 20th century. Although it is now privately owned, its timeless charm can be admired from the path leading to the waterfall, amid fields of rapeseed that turn golden as spring dawns.
From Lafitte, follow the D14, known as the "Route du Fil de l'Eau",
At the roundabout, head towards Labourgade,
Just before the village exit sign, turn left onto the Chemin des Cascades,
Cross the small bridge over the Gimone. On your left, you'll see the elegant silhouette of the Moulin de Sapiac,
A few steps further on, enjoy the gentle murmur of the waterfall.
