Here you'll find all our ideas for bike rides and itineraries.
The Canal des 2 Mers and the Voie Verte cycle route are ideal for safe, gentle cycling along the water. Travel and visit Castelsarrasin, Moissac and the confluence of the Tarn and Garonne rivers at your own pace.
The more athletic will appreciate the rides on the hillsides, which are rougher but offer spectacular views.
How can you enjoy the countryside by bike?
Our number 1 destination for families is the Canal Latéral de Garonne and the Vélo voie verte. Reserved for pedestrians and cyclists, the route is safe. The route is shaded and punctuated bylocks and lock houses that are great fun for children and adults alike, and provide the perfect opportunity for a picnic break.
Coming from Moissac or Agen, this route is easily reached via the footbridge leading to the magnificent Pont Coudol, which spans the Vélo Voie Verte and the Garonne. Stop off at the leisure centre to discover the confluence of the Tarn and Garonne rivers and its bird sanctuary.
For the more sporty types, there are a number of itineraries to discover the Confluence by bike, the Boudou hills, the Garonne terraces or take a trip as far as Auvillar.
The Canal Latéral à la Garonne is the little brother of the Canal du Midi, and runs for 193 km from Toulouse to the Gironde estuary.
All along it, a Vélo Voie Verte offers safe paths for non-motorised vehicles and walkers. This former towpath is ideal for family outings.
Forming a link between sea and ocean, you'll never lose track of the water along the canal. Take advantage of the cool shade of the plane trees, and enjoy the breaks by the locks, true witnesses of the river's heritage.
Here, you can take your time, pedalling to the rhythm of the water and the barges, alone, with family or friends.
From Terres des Confluences you can cycle to the Canal des Deux Mers in Moissac, Castelsarrasin or Saint Porquier.
On this itinerary you'll discover some of Tarn et Garonne's heritage gems: the Canal du Cacor bridge, the Eiffel footbridge, the confluence of the Tarn and Garonne rivers, the Saint-Jacques swing bridge, etc.
Here, everything is done to make life easier for cyclists: accommodation, transport, etc.
