Just a few kilometres from Moissac, the artist's birthplace, the Espace Firmin Bouisset is housed in the "Maison d'Espagne", a splendid pink-brick town house in the heart of Castelsarrasin.
Located on the Toulouse - Montech - Moissac water route, the port of Castelsarrasin is a must on the Canal de Garonne and the Vélo Voie Verte. Ideally located just a stone's throw from the town centre and railway station, it is easily accessible for travellers by train, on foot, by bike or by barge.
The Jacques-Yves Cousteau marina is an ideal stop-off point on the Canal des Deux Mers. It's a very pleasant place to visit, with the Eiffel bridge to admire and cross.

Discover the church of Saint-Sauveur in Castelsarrasin, a Gothic gem that was once a priory ofMoissac Abbey. This church, which houses the relics of Saint Alpinien, is celebrated every year during the Castelsarrasin festival. Until the French Revolution, Saint Sauveur was one of the most important churches in the Montauban diocese.
The church's main attraction is its exceptional Baroque furnishings, which came fromBelleperche Abbey and were bought by the parish of Castelsarrasin after the French Revolution, its organ case, listed as a historic monument, and its treasury. In front of you are pieces of silverware dating from the 16th to the 20th centuries, from all the churches and chapels of Castelsarrasin.
A veritable treasure trove of French aviation history, the Breguet XIV was France's first metal aircraft. It was built in the Michelin and Latécoère factories and flown by Jean Mermoz and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
Initially used as a weapon during the First World War, the Breguet XIV went on to play a crucial role in the Aéropostale missions, making flights to Rabat and Buenos Aires.
