Passionate about contemporary music and winner of numerous awards, virtuoso pianist Kotaro Fukuma offers a recital in the cloister in homage to the composer Isaac Albéniz.
This musician died in Cambo-Les-Bains on 18 May 1909, playing his best-known work, Iberia. This musical evocation of Andalusia was praised in its day by Claude Debussy. Olivier Messiaen considered it ‘perhaps the masterpiece of piano writing'.
