Description
The House Baskerville is a beautiful French farm located on the edge of a pretty village with views of the surrounding fields. Access to the house is down an alley surrounded by apple trees and across a bridge over a small stream.
The house has been recently renovated to a very high standard and you will have exclusive access to all accommodation.. There is an outdoor swimming pool (unheated) as well as five acres of land to explore.
As an independent house, you will find everything you need for a perfect stay. A fully equipped kitchen. You can dine in the kitchen or outside in the garden overlooking the pool. The house is a perfect place to relax. There are two living rooms, one upstairs, the other downstairs. There are squashy velvet sofas and a flat-screen TV with Netflix, internet access and speakers for music. There is also a wide variety of books, magazines and board games.
The house has six bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate 15 people.
In the first bedroom you will find 2 single beds and a double bed.
The second bedroom contains a super king size bed.
The third bedroom contains a double bed.
The fourth bedroom contains a double bed.
The fifth bedroom contains a double bed.
The sixth bedroom has a double bed and a single bed.
There are four bathrooms.
The first bathroom has a toilet and a sink and a bathtub.
The next bathroom has a sink and a bath.
The third bathroom has a shower.
The fourth bathroom has a shower.
You will also find a separate toilet and sink.
Sheets, towels, a hairdryer and an iron are all included to make your stay more enjoyable.
The house is a five-minute walk from the village where you can buy your morning bread and croissants, among other essentials.. There are two fishing lakes containing carp and trout and other fish within walking distance. You can get permits and licenses for an additional fee.
Spend your days exploring the surroundings. The main town of Castelsarrasin with its wide range of shops, restaurants and weekly market is a ten minute drive away and the fabulous historic city of Moissac with its Abbey and cloister of international renown and on the UNESCO World Heritage list due to the pilgrimage route of Santiago de Compostela is ten minutes away. Here you will also find a range of restaurants, shops and bars to visit.
The city of Toulouse and its international airport are a 50-minute drive away. With its incredible shops, restaurants and museums, especially the Toulouse Space Center, an interactive space museum covering 50 acres, it's definitely worth a visit! Also, a little closer to home is Montauban about twenty-five minutes by car.
The surrounding countryside is perfect for cycling and walking.
